Founded by highly experienced reindeer handler and trainer Phil Endsor, The Reindeer Whisperer provides a fully mobile husbandry and training service to reindeer owners and herders across the UK.

With extensive experience handling, caring for and training hundreds of reindeers, including several years working hands on with England’s largest reindeer herd, there is very little Phil doesn’t know about these beautiful creatures.

Phil identified that many reindeer owners occasionally need assistance in maintaining the health and well-being of their reindeer.  Routine issues such as worming, foot trimming and de-antlering can be challenging for many owners, but don’t necessarily warrant calling out a vet.  The ability for this service to be mobile, to dramatically reduce stress on the reindeer and also to ensure issues which arise whilst reindeer are in velvet, or during the calving/rutting seasons, can be dealt with quickly, was invaluable.

This is when The Reindeer Whisperer was born.

The service, which is the first of its kind in the UK, brings specialist reindeer advice and support direct to your front gate, providing reindeer owners, herders and keepers with practical hands on support.

Today Phil, and his small team of expert handlers, work with reindeer owners the length and breadth of the UK, training and caring for reindeer on a regular basis.  Phil regularly consults vets, DEFRA, animal nutritionists and reindeer organisations within and outside the UK in a bid to continually improve the health and well-being of these animals, build his knowledge and ensure the techniques and advice given by The Reindeer Whisperer are current and follow best practice.
